Where It Began

We Are Two Dolls

Born from a love of the west and the belief that what you wear should tell your story, Two Dolls is a boutique line of hand-adorned hats created by two sisters who saw a gap in the market and filled it with heart.

Our inspiration comes from mountain air, aspen eyes, and the vast horizons of the American West. Each hat begins as a blank canvas, then is transformed in our studio with hand-dyed silk bands, braided leather cords, and sterling silver or 18k gold jewelry pins adorned with semi-precious stones.

We don't make hats. We make wearable stories.

Ali Moody

Co-Founder

Born in Colorado and raised in Illinois, Ali brings her background as a licensed interior designer to everything Two Dolls creates. Her eye for detail and love of the Western lifestyle are woven into every hat. "We saw a need for a hat line with bespoke design using beautifully sourced materials — something that gets people talking."

Janey Hartmann

Co-Founder

Born and raised in Colorado, Janey is a true Western girl at heart. She dreamed of creating a curated hat business that blended Western heritage with modern style — and brought her sister Ali along for the ride. "The Two Dolls brand is western at heart with a bit of that Midwestern vibe tied in to make it one hell of a cool brand."

The Craft

Hand-Adorned, One at a Time

Every Two Dolls hat is crafted in our studio, step by careful step.

The Base — Premium wool, corduroy, quilted silk, and denim blanks, selected for quality and comfort.

The Horizon Band — Hand-dyed silk in signature colors, layered with braided leather cords to create the look that defines us.

The Jewelry — In partnership with artist Heather Benjamin, we offer sterling silver, 18k gold, and semi-precious stone pins — turquoise, moonstone, labradorite, and more. It's jewelry you don't just wear. It's jewelry you display.
